Micro-Trends and How to Style Them This Summer.

Personally, I believe major trends are the foundation, but micro-trends are the secret of personal style. You can always choose as many and try all of them until you feel like you. They are the subtle shifts in the silhouette, the exciting textures, the vintage-inspired details that turn an everyday outfit into a mood. I love to get inspired from other people's outfits, every-time I travel to London, Paris, Amsterdam or wherever I am - I like to observe what people wear, as for me Fashion is a form of art, therefore, my style is always evolving, as it shifts, I will share all my inspiration with you, so we can all try styling these micro-trends.

Drop-Waist Skirts

You are going to adore this silhouette. Especially for the height of summer, It is one of my favourite micro-trends, it looks fabulous. It has been positively sweltering in the UK. Drop-waist skirts are sheer perfection: they hug the hips so elegantly before cascading into a floating, breezy sweep of fabric. It’s effortless, immaculate heatwave dressing

Micro-Watches

The petite timepiece has made its triumphant return! I have to say, I love mini accessories. - Lately, I’ve refined my jewellery rotation, leaning into fewer, far more meaningful pieces—though I still demand variety, as my aesthetic is constantly shifting. But micro-watches? Absolute BEAUTY.

They are delicate, feminine and really elegant.

Deep V-Necks

I am utterly obsessed. Plunging V-necklines feel wonderfully chic, feminine, and sexy—easily earning a spot in my top five micro-trends this season. I acquired a few beautifully tailored neutral blouses at the very first sign of spring, and they’ve been a resounding yes ever since. 

You can always get different blouses that are basics, then you can style them differently in each outfit.

Bubble-Hem Skirt

I’ve observed so many fashion influencers and fashion editors wearing these delightful skirts lately. They lend such a whimsical, architectural volume to an outfit—playful, striking, and undeniably worth adopting into your wardrobe.

Extreme Layering

While I’ve historically preferred layering sheer dresses over minimalist tops, I’m now turning my attention to top-on-top layering. It feels wonderfully avant-garde and unique—a magnificent opportunity to experiment layering blouses under a pretty dress, and figure out if it something that looks good on you. 

Upcycled Denim

Another absolute indulgence of mine— my obsession to denim is endless! I turned my hand to up-cycling a few pairs this summer and I am thoroughly hooked. I simply cannot abide the monotony of wearing the same standard denim, so I took fabric shears to the seams, frayed the hems, and fashioned something entirely unique.

I am well aware I’ve declared nearly every single one of these as a favourite, but I make no apologies—they truly are! Fashion should never be rigid or limited; it ought to be fluid, adaptable, and endlessly experimental. Whether balancing a minimalist top with a dramatic silhouette or styling the inverse, the joy is to explore new trends and find your own personal style!
